Used in dogs and cats as an oral antibiotic for the treatment of infected wounds, abscesses, and infections of the mouth and dental cavity.

Uses in Dogs:

Treatment of infected wounds, abscesses, and oral or dental infections caused by or associated with:
Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. (excluding Streptococcus faecalis), Bacteroides spp., Fusobacterium necrophorum, and Clostridium perfringens

Provides antimicrobial cover during dental procedures

Treatment of superficial pyoderma associated with Staphylococcus intermedius

Treatment of osteomyelitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus

Uses in Cats:

Treatment of infected wounds, abscesses, and oral or dental infections

Provides antimicrobial cover during dental procedures

Before starting treatment, pathogens should be identified and tested for sensitivity to clindamycin.
